After months of planning and a total kitchen renovation, we’re so excited to have finally launch our brand new café menu earlier this December!

The new menu embodies everything we hope to promote with our markets: dietary inclusive food, created with a flair for aesthetic beauty and made with fresh, locally sourced produce.

Our main goal in crafting this menu was to utilize the many wonderful local producers that are featured at our market. In fact, with only a handful of exceptions, we’re proud to say that we’ve been able to include our market produce in every dish on our menu.

The kitchen’s fruit and vegetables are provided by the team at Rarity Wholesale, who have been one of our biggest supporters since we launched our food market this year.

We’ve also been able to use eggs from The Local Yolk and a huge range of meats courtesy of Hunter Valley Premium Meats, both of whom have become a staple of our markets.

We’ve always been a fan of the classics, and have created a menu that features many Novacastrian favourites made with a Flower Market twist.

For instance, our version of the traditional Avo Smash features crispy kale and a kick of lemon tahini dressing.

Another hit is the newly added Asian Fried Chicken Burger, made with crunchy herbed slaw, sriracha aioli and house carrot & chilli pickles. This one has quickly become our biggest hit, and is especially popular with the local business near us in Sandgate!

Another favourite for those with a sweet tooth is the House Made Crumpets served with lemon curd, seasonal berries and whipped vanilla bean mascarpone.

Many of our customers experience a variety of food allergies and intolerances that can make finding healthy, unique options an issue, so we’re also extremely passionate about making a menu that is inclusive of as many dietary restrictions as possible.

Our café menu features gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as a variety of alternatives and substitutions.

In fact, our signature all-rounder dish for almost any intolerance is the Flower Markets Beauty Bowl, a delicious arrangement of spicy chickpeas, roasted sweet potato, quinoa, kale, lemon tahini dressing and more! The Flower Markets Beauty Bowl is vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free without sacrificing flavour.

With food like this, our team have created a café where no one is excluded from having an exceptional dining experience.
