Christmas is not only our favourite time of year, it’s also a great time to get out there and support the many dedicated local businesses in Newcastle.

If you have a certain gift in mind for the special people in your life, chances are there’s a high-quality option made by a local, independent creator in the Hunter region.

That’s why our team pulled together two dedicated Christmas markets on December 7th and December 14th to put a spotlight on some of our favourite producers!

Our Christmas market featured pop-up stalls from the lovely folks at The Alchemist’s Garden and Mura Face and Body, two of the most decadent skincare lines made right here in Newcastle.

The Alchemist’s Garden have created a new way to nurture and care for your skin. Their range of clay masks and radiant elixirs are created through fermentation, which enhances the nutrient content of their products while inhibiting harmful bacteria from growing. Their fermented ingredients include pomegranate, hemp seed oil, pepitas, mandarin and more!

Mura Face and Body is built around sustainability, and their range of bath bombs, body oils, salts, face masks and more are created using only all-natural, vegan and cruelty free ingredients and processes. Each product is hand-crafted in Newcastle!

We were also lucky enough to feature wine tastings from our favourite, Tamburlaine Organic Wines. We’ve collaborated with Tamburlaine in the past, and each time our customers have been delighted by their award-winning selection of organic, vegan friendly and low-sulphur wines. A quality bottle of wine is one of the best presents you can have at a home-cooked Christmas lunch, and supporting a sustainable vineyard like Tamburlaine is a great way to give back this holiday season.

Both days also featured a range of convenient and high-quality Tupperware options from the lovely Danielle, alongside our longtime collaborator Natasha from Bow Collective in The Pantry!

In keeping with the holiday spirit, we were so excited to host several of our famous Christmas Wreath Workshops. These are some of our most popular workshops, and with good reason – there’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by making your own custom wreath using some of our huge selection of flowers and plants!

The Christmas Market gave us a great opportunity to offer huge discounts on some of the finest plants in Newcastle, courtesy of We Grow Plants.

Meanwhile, our food market churned out the goods with meats from Hunter Valley Premium Meats and fresh produce from our favourite, Rarity Fresh. We pulled out all the stops to bring you guys the freshest prawns, smoked hams, oysters, and cherries, ready for your Christmas cooking!
