We’re so excited to be partnering with Sonoma Bakery to bring our customers their weekly dose of sourdough. 

Sonoma Bakery is owned by Andrew Connole and has established multiple locations across New South Wales, including Newcastle and Sydney. 

Andrew was inspired by his father’s dream of opening a bakery with his two sons, which they did in 1997 having never baked a loaf before. 

Travelling to San Francisco and Point Reyes, California, Andrew learned about the art of sourdough and brought his expertise back to New South Wales, where he began selling his handmade sourdough at local markets. 

The demand for their bread became so high that eventually, Andrew and his partners were able to open the first Sydney-based Sonoma Bakery in March 2001. 

You can find Sonoma’s beautiful range of wholemeal, seeded, fruit and olive sourdoughs at our markets every Thursday – Saturday and in our weekly Boxes of Goodness deliveries!
